I'm adding an index to make this more easily accessable:

10-28-2008
All the hands-on info as well as additional pics*, polls, etc. will be kept back at HQ:
http://meanwhilebackathq.blogspot.com/
* The Sect. will still get exclusive pics and preview not seen anywhere else (i.e. Airtight, etc.)

I've started a new Sector exclusive feature called "Workbench Report".  It'll give you a look at what's coming and how it's going from time to time.

Well here's the work-in-progress of my Flint custom/kitbash.  Finally at a stage where you'll get some idea of who it is and where it's going.  He uses a Hot Toys Real Type body and head from the Mountain Sniper figure.  The uniform, etc. are from Monkey Depot and Toy Anxiety who have both been huge helps in piecing this together.  I still have to wait on gloves to come in from Hong Kong.  Aside from painting the berret and head there's a few more bits to add:

-additional belt
-gun/holster
-signature shotgun shell suspenders, which'll be a kitbash in themselves
-gloves

Have a look:

Oh man, that looks great!  Perfect Flint and he'll compliment other 1/6ers from the new Sideshow line. Grin

Well, Flint's just about done just waiting on the gloves.  Hopefully I should have another close to done soon.  Another Joe from '85.  Wink

Gloves finally came in today!  I was going to mod them to get rid of some of the sraps, but I kinda like them as is. So Flint's done.I ended up not repainting the head, except for the hair.  I just did a little acetone to get rid of the stubble.  Anyway enough chat, enjoy!

Excellent and impressive work.   Grin  Have to admit that I really like it and that's coming from someone who doesn't care for G.I. Joe or that style of figure.   Wink

That does look very nice and very GI Joe!  I think it's interesting that you added that new second belt and I actually have one of those too (bought from Monkey Depot)  I always thought that it had potential for Robin. Grin

I revealed in another thread that Shipwreck was up next. Well, I had everything planned and pieced out, but the head I got was too big for the cap.  Bummer.   Undecided  Anyway, I've sought out a new head.  Gives me more time to work on the uniform, I guess. In the meantime here's a couple more shots I took of Flint.  I found a shotgun for him that matches up to the original figure's pretty well.
